Development Log:
I did not record this before, since this development log did not yet exist. So let me record a month of development time I did not record before:

All for The One Simple Game: FingerTapping.
Many Thanks!
I am preparing The One Simple Game for submission.
I did not eat yet. I was polishing The Chair I built a few days ago.
I feel this rush... I need to submit FingerTapping into review today. I just know it.
I created a production build at 18.11.2009 19:07:41.
I am submiting.
Nope... the itunes connect site is not responding to Me at 18.11.2009 19:24:00.
I am uploading the binary at 18.11.2009 19:28:05.
It feels like I should light up the Peace Pipe I rolled to Celebrate this Monumental Event in the history of Manchildren.
Done. Let me wait for the first round with the reviews. I have a feeling, it is not going to get through.
The One Simple Game is just too simple. They probably won't even understand how to play it.
Well... it is worth a try.
Long live FingerTapping.
I decided to add some more code. I want to be able to quickly change the Player Name.
I did that. I can now quickly change the player playing the game. And every player has his own scores naturally.
I also changed the transitions to RotoZoom.
Alot of little polish.
Someday I will be able to polish like the long time OpenGL programmers.
But until then... let me meditate and relax some more.
IKEA is over. It was very intense. All that kitsch gathered into one place. A shopping centre that looks like a laboratory.
When I entered the large hall, I was hit by a strange fragrance. I thought, they must have sprayed something in the Air, so I will buy more Things.
Then a little later, when I and Bit were at the Toilets, I thought this is where they take my Urine Sample, so they can look at it and produce more kitsch I will eventually buy.
We bought only The Tracks with The Train and some candles and a blanket.
It seems I need to make a Name Managment Interface, so I can quickly change the Player Name - The Guru - and remember the Score for each one of them.
I decided I will stick with the simple "type your name in" Name Managment Interface.
Also I did an overlook. I still need:
Help screen. About screen.
I need to test the email sharing scores. But I left the iPod in the House Of Love.
Uf. Almost done. I wrote the Help screen by hand. And the About screen is another table.
I still need something that will enable FingerTapping to sell its Source.
I am thinking PayPal would be good enough. In app purchase would require me to raise the 2.0 SDK framework to 3.0, which would cut me off of the Pirate World.
I have enough for today. I am tired from all those hidden subjective commercials I saw today at the IKEA Great Shopping Centre.
Actually it was full of Kitsch. Nothing new. When I came home, I even had a thought about doing everything by my self. Even the clothes.
I have the time. But do I have the nerves?
I did a short Early Morning Piped Coding Session. I managed to quickly debug the mess I created yesterday evening.
To my surprise I got it all working very fast. I got the scores showing up in The Menu in a UITableViewCell.
Very cool. Now I will take my family to see IKEA. I have never seen this Shopping Centre in My Life Ever Before.
This will be the Entering into Overall Forgiveness.
I should be preparing Bit for sleep, but I am here in The Esoteric Garage smoking yet another Pipe.
I did not record some of the coding time. I was coding a feedback model at kitschmaster.
I need to make the feedback post request asynchronous also.
I still need a help view. And I certainly do not need an Info or About.
I am rotating the Little Home Icon so it will actually hint at The rotated Menu.
I did that. But then found out the navigation controllers pushes the Scores view twice.
So I started implementing inline scores, but it seems I will finish them some other time.
Maybe when the Sun comes out.
It is a wonderful morning. The Sun is shining and the Moon is up in the Sky.
I handrolled Me Self a Splif. I could go for a walk to breathe in The Energy Of Life.
But instead I am here in The Esoteric Garage, just about to start coding...
I just run FingerTapping in the simulator. I am still not finished with the Feedback. I need to write the server side.
Man... I need to think this through... Yes. I will go for a Thinking Walk, then code later.
The FingerTapping Development Log is being Hand Rolled by Kitschmaster Him Self.
I am working on The Menu.
I need to present a Sound Picker and a Sound Test Button to the Guru.
It just dawn on me. I have never before used a UIPicker in code.
Nice. Let me see how it works. I am using the Assistant in XCode to load the Documentation.
Yes, very simple, similar to working with a UITableView.
The view object is called UIPickerView and I will need to add the UIPickerViewDelegate methods to the SettingsTableViewController.
I also needed to add the UIPickerViewDataSource methods to SettingsTableViewController.
I am in Extreme Bad Mood. I have to use Gimp. I need a background for the picker.
iPhone Simulator crashed at 09.11.2009 10:19:28. Had to close XCode manually.
Hmmm... it does not run anymore. I will restart the iMac at 09.11.2009 10:21:50.
I had to change the background of the iMac at 09.11.2009 12:02:59.
It is an image of a piece of paper.
The Text Translated in english is:
"O Mother Earth Open Our Heart"
At 09.11.2009 13:55:47 I am finished with the picker installation.
I have always considered coding to be a special form of Art.
I need a feedback view. I want to install an artistic survey.
09.11.2009 16:25:18 I am about to create the About view and then maybe the Help view.
I prepared the Feedback view, but it seems I will need to write a few methods on the server side to get it working.
Something like: http://kitschmaster.com/feedback/app_title=Xxx&udid=xxx&option=x&message=x
